Last October 21, 2025, Suzuki Auto Iligan officially opened its doors to the community with a grand opening celebration at its new location in Brgy. Sta. Filomena, Iligan City.
The celebration began with a lively motorcade through the town, leading to the new dealership. The grand opening ceremony featured a captivating Diyandi dance presentation that added a touch of local culture to the event. The official ribbon cutting – a symbolic gesture signifying the opening of the business were presided by Mr. Koichiro Hirao – President of Suzuki Philippines, Mr. Norihide Takei – SPH General Manager Automobile, Mr. Yukio Sato – General Manager for After Sales, Service and Marine, Yasuki Nakagawa – General Manager’s Assistant and Auto Sales Department Head, Dr. Silvestre Lumapas Jr. – DES STRONG MOTORS, INC. President, Ms. Marilou Du Lumapas – DES STRONG MOTORS, INC. Vice President, and Miss Louise Camille D. Lumapas – DES STRONG MOTORS, INC. Managing Director. It was then followed by a blessing and showering of coins – believed to bring good luck and prosperity. A ceremonial toast took place emphasizing the company’s commitment to excellence, raising a glass to future ventures.
The event was well-attended by the esteemed guests including SPH executives, DES STRONG MOTORS, INC. management, branch personnels, local government units, and the community.
